Wendy Wu Tours: Golden Triangle & Ranthambore with Yvonne Montgomery
In April 2018 we sent our senior travel consultant, Yvonne to visit the stunning country of India, courtesy of Wendy Wu Tours. Here is her full write up of her own personal Wendy Wu experience
Delhi
On arrival in Delhi we were met in scorching temperatures and transferred by air conditioned bus to the New Park Hotel, which was our home for the 1st night. Here we were met by our wonderful guide Vishal. He stayed with us throughout the tour, and was so informative and helpful.
In Delhi we visited the Jama Masjid, the first of our stunning buildings, took a rickshaw ride around Old Delhi! Great fun ?and dodged the traffic and cows! We visited the spice markets and had plenty of opportunities for some great photos beforethe following morning where we drove around New Delhi before starting our road trip to Jaipur!
Jaipur
En route we visited the amazing Jama Masjid. How such a monument was built so many years ago amazes me. Eventually arriving into the bustling city of Jaipur in the evening, passing weddings on the way, we checked in for our next 2 nights. From here we had the opportunity to visit the the amazing Amber Fort – would not have missed this for anything! what stunning views and the gardens, decoration all boxes ticked, Jantar Mantar observatory was next on the list, once again never failing to amaze.
Ranthambore + Agra
Another road trip to Ranthambore was next to the lovey Tigress Resort hotel. Early start the next morning off on a tiger spotting safari. Not lucky enough in the morning but after a fun trip of seeing other wild life it was back to the hotel for a quick dip and lunch before setting off again that afternoon.
Back on the road again to Agra and there is just one place everyone wants to see here, but before you do take a trip to Agra Fort you will not be disappointed and from here you get your first glimpse of the Taj Mahal.
A very early 4am start the next day to be beat the heat and crowds, but well worth it. The beautiful marble Taj Mahal will just take your breath away.
In summary India is everything you would expect it to be, noisy, spiritual, colourful and just the most amazing place I have been to. I have been selling award-winning Wendy Wu Tours for over 10 years and getting the chance to finally experience all that i hear about one of their exciting tours was something i’ll never forget.
It is worth noting Wendy Wu Tours offer the rest of Asia to explore, the fun doesn’t stop their! If you prefer something more exotic and tropical it may be worth visiting the bright and beautiful countries of South America
If its on your bucket list then get it ticked off, if its not then add it!
