Hurtigruten go paperless!
In a bid to help save the world’s oceans, Hurtigruten – specialists in Norwegian cruises have announced that they are taking part in making the world greener by making most travel documents paper-free and electronic only. Here is the official statement from the Hurtigruten team.
We are changing our policy for distributing travel documents for the better!
As responsible and sustainable operations are core to our business, we aim to make an environmentally friendly footprint that we can be proud of. One of the initiatives to help us reach this is starting to communicate with our guests digitally, instead of sending physical travel documents. We hope you welcome this news and support us in our mission. To help you understand whether you need to print any documents for your upcoming voyage, we have provided some additional information below.
We are working very closely with our partners to provide services where no printed confirmation is required but until then, the following services require that your guests print the vouchers and bring with them:
Hurtigruten voyages to Norway: All transfers in Bergen, Trondheim, Oslo, Tromso and Kirkenes. Excursions that take place before or after the voyage (not onboard excursions), Rail tickets.
Hurtigruten voyages to Svalbard & Iceland: Flybus Transfers
Hurtigruten Voyages to Antarctica: Please print and complete the medical form and deliver to the ship doctor on board the ship
For all other services booked with Hurtigruten no printed confirmation is required, all you need to present is an official form of identification.
