The journey all started by stepping onto my first Air Transat flight from Manchester Aiport. I was politely greeted by the usual smiles and politeness from the cabin staff and got acquainted with my seat. I was instantly offered with a complimentary beverage and enjoyed the peaceful 12-hour journey into Calgary.
I then had the pleasure of stepping onto the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer Train from Banff to Vancouver. I experienced so much from here, gazing out to the breathtaking natural views, which Canada has an abundance of, whilst also taking in the luxurious space in which this train service has to offer.
We stopped in Kamloops, where I was taken back when asked to step into a full suit of leather… I then took a sigh of relief when spotting the 700 lbs Harley Davidson. However, when being told that I was going to ride the motorcycle, the nervous sweats came back!
After a few slow minutes, the fears of riding a motorcycle for the first time where at the back of my mind due to the mesmerising views in with the Rocky Mountains has to offer. We rode through the mountains into Jasper, having a few stops on the way to take it the scenery. This was a once in a lifetime experience for myself and one which I’ll remember to the day I die, I cannot recommend doing this enough!

My first time on a Harley Davidson!
After the ride, we once again boarded the Rocky Mountaineer all the way to Vancouver.
One morning we had the pleasure of going to the famous Grouse Mountain. We boarded onto the famous 1,200-metre Mountain Skyride to the top. This was a terrific experience and a brilliant way in order to see Vancouver from every angle possible.
We had breakfast on top of the mountain, where we greeted by some uninvited guests! Only a few metres away, where two curious orphaned Grizzly Bears, Grinder and Cooler, who was more interested in my breakfast that I was! This was a truly unique experience seeing these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, but however, one which reminded me of back home with my, a lot smaller, furry little pest, Baxter, watching me eat my cereal in the mornings before work!

We then had a few days exploring the vibrant city of Vancouver. One experience which I adored was the FlyOver Canada tour. This was an 8-minute Virtual Reality experience flying over all the iconic cities and landscapes of Canada! I was suspended in the air with a series of winds, gusts and scents were thrown my way, creating an unforgettable and truly unique experience and a completely different way to witness the beauty which Canada has to offer.
