Itinerary Details

Day 1 Fly to Saigon

Fly overnight to Saigon, Vietnam’s most evocative and largest city.

Day 2 Arrive & Explore

On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day is yours to start soaking up the local culture.

Day 3 Discover Saigon

A seamless blending of past and present, Saigon offers a high-octane ride into Vietnam’s ever brighter future. Whilst this exuberant city is the main force driving the country forward, it also has a treasure trove of fascinating heritage to explore. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office – grandiose legacies of a colonial past; the Reunification Palace; and the chilling War Remnants Museum where the brutality of the war and its victims are well-documented. Finish up by browsing through the lively Ben Thanh Market. (B)

Day 4 Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh

Get to grips with the horrors of guerrilla warfare at the astonishing Cu Chi Tunnels before travelling to Tay Ninh to attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple. A blend of architectural styles with vivid, cartoon-ish colours, it is one of the most striking structures in Asia. Return to Saigon. (B)

Day 5 Journey to Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi where the rest of the day is free to begin your explorations. (B)

Day 6 Explore Hanoi

Hanoi brings together all of the charms of a colonial past with a modern buzz in one fast-paced yet graceful city. Exuding a wonderfully exotic aura, Hanoi is the perfect combination of old Asia and new. Sightseeing today includes a wander through the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where you’ll pass Ho Chi Minh’s monumental mausoleum, Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, and the Confucian Temple of Literature. Enjoy the sights of Sword Lake and Ngoc Son Temple before strolling through the atmospheric streets of the Old Quarter, the soul of the city. (B)

Day 7 Hanoi at Leisure

Today is free for you to explore Hanoi at your leisure. Wander down to the shores of Hoan Kiem Lake in the tranquility of the early morning to see the locals practicing Tai Chi or delve deeper into the vibrant Old Quarter. (B)

Day 8 Fly Hanoi to UK

Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day, or extend your trip with one our extensions. (B)
