Day 2 – Budapest

Make the most of Budapest with a guided tour. Alternatively, take a hike to Buda Hill or experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock.

This afternoon, enjoy the streets of Budapest at leisure, perhaps walk the hills on the Buda side of the city or cross the Chain Bridge and visit the livelier side of Pest.

Day 3 – Kalocsa

Located on the Great Hungarian Plain, Kalocsa is one of the oldest towns in Hungary. Today you will have the opportunity to witness a traditional Puszta horse show. Be greeted by the horsemen of the Puszta region where this type of activity has been practised for centuries. Taste local specialities before watching this cultural masterpiece.

Day 4 – Osijek:

Explore Osijek on a guided tour or, if youre the more active type, you can opt to take a guided bike ride through Osijeks countryside.

As a Scenic guest, youll be invited in to the home of a local family for a traditional home-cooked meal and the chance to discover what everyday life is really like in Croatia. Day 5 – Novi Sad:

Overlooked by the dominant Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad is a modern, vibrant city with a fascinating past.

Join your local guide and explore this energetic city on foot, or hike to Petrovaradin Fortress and learn about the powerful history of this military fort and how it has protected the city for centuries. Alternatively, journey to Sremski Karlovci, where you can wander the town with our experts and marvel at the many Baroque elements.

This evening, Novi Sad comes to life at a special event curated especially for Scenic guests. Enjoy a classical concert at the Name of Mary Church, the largest in Novi Sad. Dating back to 1895 the church is a focal point of the city with its impressive neo-gothic style and stunning stained glass windows.

Day 6 – Scenic Cruising

Admire the scenery as you cruise towards the spectacular Iron Gates, a narrow gorge carved out by the Danube River between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. See the iconic rock carving of Decebalus, the last King of the Dacian Empire (now Romania). The sculpture is over 40 metres high and an impressive memorial to this once powerful ruler.

Day 7 – Belgrade

Enjoy an in-depth tour of one of Europes oldest capitals, Belgrade, including a visit to Titos Memorial, or take an orientation tour of Belgrade before time at leisure. Alternatively, choose a guided bicycle tour along the Danube or, for a true insight into everyday life in Belgrade, take a walk through the city with a local student.

Day 8 – Belgrade

After breakfast, transfer to Belgrade airport for your onward or homebound flight, taking many wonderful memories with you.
