Day 1: UK > Siem Reap

Welcome to Siem Reap where youll check in toyour beautiful hotel for a one-night stay.

Day 3: Siem Reap > Mekong Cruise

Drive to Kampong Cham where Scenic Spirit awaits, with stops at the Khmer bridge at Kampong Kdei, Kampong Thom and a stone cutters village.

Day 4: Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham

Meet the young novice monks at Wat Hanchey. Sail to Kampong Cham where you visit Phnom Pros (Man Hill), explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok and Wat Nokor.

Day 5: Oudong > Kampong Tralach > Kho Chen

After arriving at Prek K’dam, board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the mountain stupas, pagoda and monastery.

Day 6: Phnom Penh

Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or take a guided tour of the local food market before joining a Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, explore by Tuk Tuk Phnom Penhs colonial buildings and the Russian Market.

Day 7: Phnom Penh > Tan Chau

Relax during a full day of cruising as you cross the border into Vietnam. Make use of the ships luxury and take the time to enjoy a cocktail by the pool or appreciate some solitude on your private balcony. Tonight is your themed gala ball.

Day 8: Tan Chau

Stay in Tan Chau and visit Evergreen Island and the local Cao Dai Temple with a ride in a cyclo. Alternatively choose from two options which cruise by speedboat to Chau Doc. Visit a family-operated fish farm before walking through a Cham village and taking a cyclo ride or visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, Cham Mountain and a local Khmer village.

Day 9: Sa Dec > Cai Be

Immerse yourself in the historic town of Sa Dec and explore the lively market, visit the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras novel LAmant and visit the Fuijian Chinese temple.

Day 10: Mekong Cruise > Ho Chi Minh City

Its time to wave goodbye to the Scenic Spirit and depart My Tho before embarking on a drive to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival youll enjoy a leisurely guided walking tour, taking in sights such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House and Central Post Office. Later, check in to a historical hotel in the heart of the city where you will enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 11: Depart Ho Chi Minh City > Singapore

Transfer to the airport for your flightto Singapore.

Day 12: Singapore > Eastern & Oriental Express

Explore Singapore in the morning during your free time, then transfer to the Raffles Hotel to check in for the Eastern & Oriental Express. You will be met at the station by exquisitely dressed stewards who will show you to your private cabin. Once you have settled in, enjoy an afternoon tea as the train rolls out of Singapore and crosses the Causeway Bridge into Malaysia. As your journey winds through Malaysia, the train travels through and onward to the northern state of Perak, one of 11 states and 2 federal territories in the Malay peninsula.

Day 13: Kuala Kangsar > Padang Besar

After breakfast, arrive at Kuala Kangsar, the picturesque royal town of Perak and the official residence of the Sultan of Perak. Your excursion will first take you to the grand Ubudiah Mosque, reputed to be one of Malaysias most resplendent. Close by is the captivating Royal Museum of Perak, an architectural masterpiece which now houses the Royal regalia. En route to the museum, you will see one of the oldest rubber trees in Malaysian peninsula. Your unforgettable tour concludes with a visit to the Sultan Shah Gallery. Later, enjoy lunch back on board the Eastern & Oriental Express as your journey continues, cutting a path through rice fields with limestone outcrops on the horizon, heading for the border town of Padang Besar, where Malaysia meets Thailand.

Day 14: Kanchanaburi > Bangkok

Lush jungles and winding rivers set the surrounding scene for the town of Kanchanaburi. After breakfast on board, alight at the River Kwai Bridge station for a cruise along the picturesque river where a local historian will divulge secrets of this world famous landmark. Visits to a war museum and war cemetery are also included, if you please. Dine back on board, enjoying a plentiful lunch as you head towards Krung Thep, also known as Bangkok, for an overnight stay at the Shnagri La Bangkok.
