    Oslo is a city easy to explore on foot, with most of its main attractions within easy reach of one another. Perhaps uncover the city’s rich cultural heritage with visits to the National Gallery, home to Edvard Munch’s iconic The Scream, and the Ibsen Museum, set in the former home of the famous playwright. Depart and cruise the Oslofjord – a 100-kilometre long inlet dotted with islands, which flows from the city to the area of Fredrikstad, its banks home to fishing villages and bays.

    Helsingborg, Sweden

    Popular Helsingborg lies on the coast with a charming harbour to explore. Within the city you’ll find the 14th century Kärnan tower, while on the outskirts lies the Fredriksdal Open-Air Museum and Botanical Garden. The city is also perfect for some shopping, with shops ranging from those in Stortorget square, the country’s oldest pedestrianised street, to the old town with its little cafes and alleys.

    Lying in eastern Jutland, Fredericia was named after Frederick III who founded the town in 1650. The town remains home to the Signal’s Regiment of the Royal Danish Army, while in the old town you can see the old ramparts and early fortifications, reminders of its military past.

    The name of this quaint town was the inspiration for the fictional Arendelle kingdom in the Disney film Frozen, making it extremely popular with tourists. Arendal’s picturesque harbour is home to a bustling fish market, upmarket restaurants and friendly pubs. Look out for the impressive Town Hall – Norway’s tallest wooden building, and the charming historic centre with its alleys and early buildings.
